The content of each announcement is supplied by the member, and any questions should be directed to the person identified in that announcement. The City of Newport News is accepting applications from attorneys for a full-time position as an Assistant City Attorney. The ideal candidate will have experience in local government law in general, and experience in social services matters specifically. The specific job duties will depend upon the successful candidate's experience and interest but will include representation of the Newport News Department of Human Services and may include other areas such as workers' compensation, employee grievances, litigation, eminent domain, real estate, and/or public procurement.
